Advance Oleochemical Technology Division (AOTD) a division under MPOB has an Analytical Testing Services Laboratory, is a reference laboratory for the palm oil industry. The laboratory has been accredited under Skim Akreditasi Makmal   Malaysia (SAMM) which is equivalent to ISO 17025 by Standard Malaysia since 29 September 1999.

Tests under the scope of accreditation are according to the standard methods such as MPOB and AOCS Test Methods. In order to maintain the highest standard of services, the laboratory implements the following quality control schemes:

- Interlaboratory cross-checks 
- Verification of test reports and certificates
- Use of reference standards
